How strong is the bridge or "Ali je kaj trden most?!" is an international competition in building bridges from spaghetti, which unites the best students from Slovenia and Europe in the spirit of competition. Over the years we have hosted Civil engendering students from Austria, Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Turkey, Italy, Romania and Slovenia.
Competitors design, plan and construct the bridge according to the rules that are made prior to the start of the competition. Spaghetti, which are glued together with plastic adhesive, are used as construction material. The competition is held in two categories: Load capacity and design. The final act is a public demolition of bridges, a unique spectacle that fills the B. Pečenko Auditorium, the largest auditorium at our faculty. Bridge that collapses at maximum load wins the first prize. A team of renowned design engineers and professors of our faculty watch over the competition.
