»Magistrsko delo obravnava vlogo arhitekture pri oblikovanju in revitalizaciji športnih prostorov, s posebnim poudarkom na prenovi športnega kompleksa Hipodrom Kamnica. Raziskava izhaja iz identificirane potrebe po posodobitvi infrastrukture, ki presega izključno funkcionalne zahteve ter vključuje širši prostorski in družbeni kontekst. Analizirani so obstoječe stanje, prostorski potenciali lokacije in potrebe uporabnikov, pri čemer je izpostavljena povezava med športnimi dejavnostmi, javnim prostorom in lokalno skupnostjo. Na podlagi pregleda relevantne literature je oblikovan temeljni model načrtovanja konjeniške arhitekture, ki vključuje ključne determinante in minimalne prostorske standarde za gradnjo ter vzdrževanje konjeniških objektov. Predlagana arhitekturna rešitev temelji na načelih trajnostnega razvoja, univerzalne dostopnosti in več namenskosti, kar omogoča dolgoročno funkcionalnost ter celostno integracijo objekta v okolje. Študija primera Hipodrom Kamnica ponazarja, kako lahko arhitekturna prenova športne infrastrukture deluje kot mehanizem za krepitev lokalne identitete, izboljšanje kakovosti bivanjskega okolja ter spodbujanje družbenih interakcij.«
»The master’s thesis examines the role of architecture in the design and revitalization of sports facilities, with a particular focus on the renovation of the Hipodrom Kamnica sports complex. The research stems from the identified need to modernize infrastructure, extending beyond purely functional requirements to encompass broader spatial and social contexts. The analysis addresses the existing conditions, spatial potentials of the site, and user needs, with an emphasis on the interrelation between sports activities, public space, and the local community. Based on a review of relevant literature, a fundamental model for equestrian architecture design is developed, incorporating key determinants and minimum spatial standards for the construction and maintenance of equestrian facilities. The proposed architectural solution is grounded in the principles of sustainable development, universal accessibility, and multifunctionality, thereby ensuring long-term functionality and the comprehensive integration of the facility into its environment. The Hipodrom Kamnica case study illustrates how the architectural renovation of sports infrastructure can serve as a mechanism for strengthening local identity, enhancing the quality of the living environment, and fostering social interaction.«
