“V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela so predstavljene osnovne značilnosti cestnega tovornega prometa v Sloveniji, glavna tveganja za prometno varnost ter zakonodaja in predpisi, ki urejajo delo poklicnih voznikov in uporabo tovornih vozil. V analitičnem delu je obravnavana analiza prometnih nesreč tovornih vozil na slovenskih avtocestah v obdobju 2015–2024. Poseben poudarek je namenjen nesrečam s hudimi telesnimi poškodbami in smrtnim izidom, ki pri večini značilnosti kažejo podobne vzorce kot vse nesreče na splošno. Analiza vključuje vrste nesreč, vzroke, starost voznikov, vpliv vremenskih razmer in stanje vozišča ter število udeležencev. Na podlagi medijskih zapisov so bile proučene tudi prometne nesreče s smrtnim izidom za leto 2024, in sicer z namenom pridobitve podrobnejših informacij. Rezultati kažejo, da je glavni vzrok nesreč človeški dejavnik, prometne nesreče najpogosteje povzročajo vozniki, stari 35–44 let, nesreče pa se največkrat zgodijo ob jasnem vremenu in suhem vozišču. Na podlagi ugotovitev so predlagani ukrepi za izboljšanje prometne varnosti.”
” The theoretical part of the thesis presents the basic characteristics of road freight transport in Slovenia, the main risks to traffic safety, and the laws and regulations governing the work of professional drivers and the use of freight vehicles. The analytical section examines traffic accidents involving freight vehicles on Slovenian highways during the period 2015–2024. Particular emphasis is placed on accidents resulting in serious bodily injury and fatalities, which, in most respects, exhibit similar patterns to all accidents in general. The analysis includes accident types, causes, driver age, the influence of weather conditions and road surface conditions, and the number of parties involved. For the year 2024, we additionally examined fatal traffic accidents based on media reports to obtain more detailed information. The results show that the main cause of accidents is human error, most frequently caused by drivers aged 35–44, and accidents most often occur in clear weather and on dry road surfaces. Based on these findings, measures to improve traffic safety are proposed.”
