Namen magistrske naloge je zasnova turističnega eko kompleksa v vasi Gornji Mihaljevec, ki se nahaja v Međimurju na Hrvaškem. Privlačna lokacija je v kultiviranem naravnem okolju z vinogradom na vrhu hriba in nudi čudovite razglede proti slovenskemu hribovju, Ivanščici in nižjemu predelu Međimurja. Namen magistrske naloge je prikazati potencial naravnih danosti območja in predstaviti arhitekturno rešitev, ki nanj odgovarja. Programska zasnova uporabnikom omogoča pobeg v naravo brez motenj današnjega hitrega načina življenja. Cilj arhitekturne zasnove je čim bolje izkoristiti naravne danosti ter z novimi programi in prispevati k turistični prepoznavnosti in razvoju občine in Međimurja.
Oblika javne stavbe je krožna, kar uporabnikom omogoča panoramsko krožno gibanje z vrha območja. Krožna oblika in zastekljene površine v pritličju zabrišejo mejo med notranjim in zunanjim prostorom, saj z vrha hriba ponujajo razglede v vse smeri. Razgledi, ki se odpirajo, so prevladujoča značilnost celotne izkušnje objekta, ki se nahaja v čudoviti pokrajini Međimurskega hribovja. Program v javnem delu je zasnovan izobraževalno, zabavno in družabno. Prav zato obiskovalca ob vstopu v stavbo pritegne pogled na odprt atrij, krožna oblika pa vabi k nadaljnjemu raziskovanju stavbe. Dva višinsko ločena kompleksa apartmaja sta konceptualna zasnovana kot lamele. Dostop do apartmaja je preko zunanje rampe ob stavbi. Ko se bo obiskovalec spustil, bo lahko ocenil prednosti lokacije.
»The main focus of this Master’s thesis is the design of a tourist eco center complex in the village of Gornji Mihaljevec, located in Međimurje, Croatia. The site is an attractive location within a cultivated natural setting (vineyard) atop a hill, offering breath-taking views of the Slovenian hills, Ivanščica, and the lower areas of Međimurje. The purpose of the thesis is to highlight the potential of the area’s natural resources and present an architectural solution that responds to it. The proposed program is designed to allow users to escape into nature, away from the distractions of today’s fast-paced lifestyle. The project envisions a nature refuge designed for contemporary needs, aiming to contribute to the development of the municipality and the Međimurje region in terms of tourism.
The shape of the public building is circular, allowing users to move in a panoramic circle from the top of the site. The circular shape and the glazed areas on the ground floor blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor space, offering views in all directions from the top of the hill. The views that open up are a dominant feature of the overall experience of the building, which is set in the beautiful landscape of the Međimurje hills. The programme in the public area is designed to be educational, entertaining and social. This is why the visitor is drawn to the open atrium on entering the building, and the circular shape invites further exploration of the building. The two apartment complexes, separated in height, are conceptually designed as lamellae. Access to the apartments is via an external ramp next to the building. Once the visitor descends, he will be able to appreciate the advantages of the location.«
