Integrated Risk Management for Buildings and Cultural Heritage (risk, safety, conservation)
Researchers, Dr. Rossella Marmo and Dr. Veronica Vitiello from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, visited our faculty, FGPA, as part of the Erasmus program. On Tuesday, May 5, at 11:00, they delivered a public lecture in the lecture room Krekova 2 G.
The engaging lecture, entitled
Integrated Risk Management for Buildings and Cultural Heritage (risk, safety, conservation)
was presented to interested students and staff.
The lecture covered civil engineering and architecture, with a focus on the risks associated with historic buildings. They presented research on the effects of moisture on building materials in historic buildings in Italy and Spain; risks and vulnerabilities related to the building envelope; risks posed by natural impacts; and seismic phenomena such as bradyseism. The research goal is to develop a conceptual model of vulnerability and its parameters.
The aim is also to apply modern digitalization and automation methods from construction informatics (BIM, knowledge engineering, and AI models).
A summary of the lecture is attached.
