V tednu med 22. 11. in 27. 11.2021 sta na naši fakulteti FGPA, in sicer na Katedri za prometno tehniko in varnost v prometu ter Katedri za prometne gradnje – gostovala prof. dr. Bertho Santos in prof. dr. Jorgeja Gonçalvesa iz Univerze Beire Interior (Portugalska). Med obiskom sta sodelovala pri različnih dejavnostih, ki jih katedri izvajata: posebno zanimiva so bila njuna predavanja o uporabi tehnologije GIS za potrebe ranljivih udeležencev v prometu in o študijah za uresničitev prvega turbo-krožišča na Portugalskem. Med njunim gostovanjem sta se profesorja tudi sama lahko preprečila, kako tovrstne prometne rešitve delujejo v realnem okolju na območju cestne mreže mesta Maribor in si skupaj s sodelavci obeh kateder izmenjala mnenja, ki bodo gotovo dobre iztočnice za nadaljno delo in sodelovanje.
During the week from Monday, the 22nd, to Saturday, the 27th of November, prof. dr. Bertha Santos and prof. dr. Jorge Gonçalves from the University of Beira Interior (Portugal) visited our Faculty, more precisely the Chair for Traffic Safety and Technology, and the Chair of Road Infrastructures.
During their visit, both professors were involved in various activities of the chairs. Among all, they took four lectures mainly centred on the application of GIS technologies to vulnerable road users’ needs and on the preliminary studies for the implementation of the first turbo-roundabout in Portugal. The professors had also the opportunity to see the practical implementation of such solutions within the road transportation network of Maribor, and to exchange interesting points of view and cues with the colleagues of the two chairs
