5. maja 2023 je bil prav poseben dan za študente Fakultete za gradbeništvo Univerze v Reki (Hrvaška). Na ta dan so namreč obiskali, skupaj z mentoricama prof. dr. De Luka in dr. Šurdonja, našo fakulteto. Kot naši gostje so se študentje vključili v različne dejavnosti, ki sta jih Katedra za prometno tehniko in varnost v prometu (KPTVP) ter Katedra za prometne gradnje (KPG) za njih organizirali. Uvodoma je prof. dr. Matjaž Šraml, v.d. dekana FGPA, predstavil fakulteto in možnosti mednarodnega sodelovanja. Nato so se seznanili s koncepti, aktivnostmi in rezultati evropskega (Obzorje 2020) projekta i-DREAMS. Obiskali so tudi Laboratorij za prometno inženirstvo in se preizkusili z vožnjo s simulatorjem. Na koncu so študentje obiskali še ulice Maribora, kjer so se prepričali v živo, kako določene cestno-prometne infrastrukture, ki so prisotne na mariborskem cestnem omrežju, delujejo v realnem okolju.
Students get to know i-DREAMS: technical excursion of the students from Rijeka (Croatia) at UM FGPA
The 5th of May 2022 was a special day for the students of the Faculty of Civil engineering, University of Rijeka (Croatia). Together with their supervisors, prof. dr. De Luka and dr. Šurdonja, they visited our faculty FGPA as part of their annual technical excursion. During their visit, students were involved in various activities, that were organized by the Chair of Traffic Engineering and Safety and at the Chair of Traffic Infrastructure. First, they followed the presentation of prof. dr. Šraml, who introduced to them our faculty and the opportunities for international exchange. After that, they were acquainted with the concepts, activities and results of the European H2020 project i-DREAMS. They also visited the lab of transportation engineering, where they had the opportunity of trying the brand-new driving simulator. Finally, they went on field, where they discovered, how specific road infrastructural solutions, which are present on Maribor’s road network, are implemented in practice.
