»Tema magistrskega dela izhaja iz realnih potreb po prenovi poslovno industrijskega območja v degradiranem delu mestu Kranj – Primskovo. Celotno območje kaže potrebe po celoviti širši arhitekturni in urbanistični ureditvi. Z revitalizacijo območja bo zagotovljena sprememba namembnosti in umestitev novih trajnostnih dejavnosti na stiku med obravnavno obstoječo industrijsko strukturo in območjem razpršene poselitve, ki je namenjeno bivanju.
Na degradiranem industrijskem območju se bo s celovito arhitekturno rešitvijo vzpostavila kvalitetna programska vsebina, ki bo prispevala k ponudbi celotnega širšega industrijskega območja. Vzpostavila se bo jasna konceptualna zasnova, ki bo predstavljala pomemben prispevek k prostorski identiteti in turistični ponudbi mesta Kranj. Poudarek arhitekturne zasnove objekta bo v lesenih gradnji in uporabi inovativnih sistemov lesene gradnje.«
»The topic of the master’s thesis arises from the real need for the renovation of a business-industrial area in a degraded part of the city of Kranj – Primskovo. The entire area demonstrates the need for a comprehensive, broader architectural and urban redesign. Through the revitalization of the area, a change of use will be ensured, along with the integration of new sustainable activities at the interface between the existing industrial structure under consideration and the dispersed residential area intended for housing.Within the degraded industrial zone, a comprehensive architectural solution will establish a high-quality program that will contribute to the overall offer of the wider industrial area. A clear conceptual design will be developed, representing an important contribution to the spatial identity and tourism offer of the city of Kranj. The architectural design of the building will emphasize timber construction and the use of innovative timber building systems.«
